What exactly am I buying?

You are buying a service that transforms a supported Google Pixel into a hardened, private communications device. You provide the Pixel, or add one to your order.

Which phone models are supported?

Google Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 8, 8 Pro, and the full Pixel 9 series. We use Pixels exclusively because of their verified boot chain and hardware security capabilities.

Do I need technical knowledge to set this up?

No. You plug your Pixel into a computer and follow our web-based provisioning tool. The process takes about 10 minutes and requires no technical background.

Can I use this as my everyday phone?

Yes, but most users carry it as a dedicated device for sensitive communications alongside their regular phone. A separate device gives you cleaner separation and stronger security.

How is this different from just installing Signal?

Signal encrypts your messages, but it runs on a standard phone that still tracks your location, shares data with Google, connects to a carrier that knows your identity, and stores unencrypted data locally. MSKR addresses all of those layers, not just the messaging.

How is this different from a privacy SIM like Cape?

A privacy SIM protects your carrier relationship: no name on the account, rotated identifiers, protected call logs. That is valuable, but it does not harden the device itself. MSKR protects the entire phone: operating system, apps, storage, and connectivity. They solve different layers of the same problem.

What happens if my phone is lost or seized?

All data on the device is encrypted. Without your credentials, it cannot be accessed. You can also trigger a remote wipe to erase the device entirely.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Your phone continues to work as a hardened device and keeps receiving operating system updates directly from GrapheneOS. What stops is the MSKR configuration and support, eSIM service and VPN access. We recommend maintaining an active subscription for ongoing protection.

What payment methods do you accept?
